Is anyone aware of a "test card" for this? The FAA AC is silent on it.
I'd prefer to do it at Traffic Pattern altitude or above to avoid balling up the airplane.
Or am I better off just assuming it's 0.2Vso and leaving it at that? This is for a tri-gear Sonex BTW, which has a pretty big and effective rudder.
And I'm aware of the additional FAR requirement "The airplane must be satisfactorily controllable in power-off landings at normal landing speed, without using brakes or engine power to maintain a straight path until the speed has decreased to at least 50 percent of the speed at touchdown."
I'm trying to gauge my risk tolerance for Phase 1 testing.
