CO Detectors

That is a great find! Funny, I was just thinking about what I was going to do about a CO detector the other day! Thanks for sharing! ;)

I bought one from Deeping12 presumably in China on Oct. 19. Simply said it never arrived. The seller asked for more time, then said change the feedback to positive before he'd refund. I asked ebay/paypal for resolution and the seller says he refunded Dec 27, but the refund has yet to actually appear on my Card.
Since I recommended this item I thought I should say not all orders result in delivery. Bil438

Update. After 76 days the item arrived. I did the recommended incense test (1/4") piece under a M/W cover. It works as far as I can tell. bil438.

I promised someone I would post the two CO detectors I am looking at on Amazon, so there won't be such a long wait to get it. The first one plugs into a 12v port and can charge a phone or tablet. It is said to sound an 85db alarm and flash red at 3ppm and higher. I received this one right before I had to head back to work and didn't get a chance to mess with it. All for $20.

The next one is $59 and has a display of the ppm level. If I find the other going off, I will get this one. My fear is 3ppm is too low a limit for the other. I use LEL monitors at work that also display CO and even being near something like a welding truck will show 5 to 10 ppm out in the open.

Re the CO tester. The one from China starts to indicate PPM on the display the instant it's under the clear cover with the incense. After 2 min it read 210 ppm. Then I removed it from the incense. After 2 min it read 50 ppm. uses AAA batteries. I think I could velcro it to a space on the panel and check it in my occasional instrument scan. Bil438
