Hello to everyone,
For the first part of my project, i need to calculate the force acting on the flap when it is delfected to a maximum.
I need some advice on calculating the lift force essentially of a flap.
The calculation that I have followed is shown in the image: Pictures by rajay_kirpa - Photobucket
I am assuming that the flat plate in the image is the flap deflected at 29 degrees, and the velocity is 33.9 m/s.
The calculation shows 225N per flap, that seems to be a bit much.
Is this the correct way of working it out? or is the Sin[sqaured](alpha) part wrong?
Any advice would be really appreciated.
Thank you.
Kuldeep.
