I've done a search here, but seemingly not any discussion on this.
What are best practices when bonding PVC foam pieces together (on edge) to form larger panels? Rutan does this on the fuselage sides of the LongEZ, for example, using wet micro. After the inboard face is glassed, the fuselage is assembled and the outboard face is sanded to profile before glassing the outside. However, isn't that tricky get a good result sanding across the micro joint? I'm not building an EZ, but have in mind something similar for a different design.
I am curious to hear other builders' experience with this. Perhaps it is not an issue.
