I have dual Odyssey batteries installed. They are 18 months old. They also sat for 75 days without being charged while at the paint shop.

Went to start the engine. Volts showed 12.2 on both batteries (had been fully charged up).

During cranking the volts dropped off to 7. Engine won't start. It turns over very sluggishly. Yes, we tested the starter. It is perfect, and very strong.

We placed a voltmeter on the battery during the start sequence to see what voltage we were getting. A drop off from 12.2 to 7 is huge.

I assume new batteries are needed.
