When I use the fancy digital volt meter on my battery I get a slight voltage and slight amperage and knowing this is probably mixed metal and miscellaneous real world potentials I wonder is this a source of battery drain enough to cause a problem starting...usually it is not a problem for a vehicle driven often as the the alternator will top off the battery but a plane that sits for a month what is the results of these measured numbers.....I just installed a brand new battery in my tractor so can easily measure today and get numbers......I have .7 volt and .8 on the 200u amp scale ( 8x10^-6 ?).. between the battery and open ground terminal...The battery is at 12.8 v.....We all know when a battery gets old it does not work as well ....will these numbers change and can be used as a predictor ?
