5052 skins vs 2024 aluminum skins for aircraft construction?
Has anyone used 5052 0.020” aluminum sheet for aircraft fuselage or wing skins. Vs the 2024 aluminum 0.020” alloy in aircraft construction?
The 5052 is easier to form tight bends and is about 1/3 the price of 2024.
