While looking for a 'good' not perfect airfoil, since I don't believe a perfect airfoil exist since there are more airfoils than airplanes it appears, I stumbled upon an airfoil which might confirm the modified flying barn door theory. How this laminated slab flies like a magic carpet, without any efficiency it appears to violate everything I've read about smooth transitions in airfoils. About the only redeeming feature is pure simplicity so a builder could slap a wing together in an hour or less, while most observers are thinking too bad Ed has gone nuts.

Just how does airfoil work?:

One thing for sure no one can complain about the lack of selections with airfoils! My scientific approach is vetting out likely candidates, paste them on a dart board then toss. Since this whole flying business seems like nothing but, compromises. May Raymer's book save me from this insanity and turn the lights back on.
